Please note that Trafford Home Choice will pause new assessments during the re-registration period from 19 December to 2 January. During this time, no new applications or changes will be assessed. Property adverts and bidding cycles will also be on hold from 17 December, with adverts restarting on 7 January. This pause allows us to complete re-registrations and prepare for the new assessment period. Thank you for your patience during this time.
All current Trafford Home Choice applicants must re-register their application by 19 December to stay on the housing register. If you do not re-register by this date, your application may be closed and you may lose your priority date. If you need help to re-register, including assisted support, please contact HOST on 0161 912 5513 as soon as possible.
Residents are being asked their views on proposed changes to Trafford Council’s housing allocation policy. The Council has launched a consultation today into proposals to update the policy by removing those in the lowest priority – Band 4 and 5 -  from the list as they are already housed. Since 2020, just 0.1 per cent of Band 4 applicants were rehoused and nobody in Band 5 was rehoused during that time. Residents can share their feedback by completing the online survey available at: https://trafford.citizenspace.com/place/housing-allocations-policy-review-2025 The survey will remain open until the 16th of February 2025, so please don’t miss the opportunity to have your say on the proposed changes.
